New Toys

So, we got a swingset yesterday, Parker is in Heavan! I don't know how long we were out there yesterday. And this morning, first words out of her mouth before she even got out of bed, "I get dressed and go on my swingset" Yep, I have a feeling that our backyard is going to get used quite a bit now! She is so excited. We did get a little swing for Noah too, so he will be able to enjoy it as well. I still need to fill in the sand box and get that up and going for her and then she will be ecstatic!

The smiles on her face makes it totally worth the hours of pushing that I am going to have to endure!

He is at it again!

Noah is having a big week!!! He started crawling. Now he was rolling everywhere, but now he has figured out that the army crawl is going to get him places faster and will keep mom on her toes now! He is getting so big.

Noah's First Tooth!

So, Noah finally got his first tooth. It started to break through yesterday! YEAH. I know it seems late in the game (he is over 7 months old) but he is actually the earliest of the kids! Scotty got his first tooth at 9 months and Parker got hers at 10 months!

Way to go Noah!

And He is Off....

So, Scotty left for California today. I am so bummmed!!! He is going to be gone for 3 weeks with his dad! What am I going to do! He is so excited and I am sure he will have a great time, but I am going to miss him. I am sure once Parker realizes that he is gone for a while that she won't like it either. I guess the only positive, less money on food since he eats all the time. HEHE.

Have a great time baby! Mommy loves you.

We Got our Nails Done!

So, on Saturday, my sister, and I took my mom out for a day of shopping and pampering. While we were getting our toes and nails done, Parker decided it was time for her first manicure and pedicure! It was fun! At first she wasn't sure about the whole thing. She sat on my seat for about 5 minutes and soaked her feet. She then went and picked out her colors.

The ladies at the salon were so nice to her (and she was being a good girl I might add!) Well, she ended up picking bright yellow for her toes, blue for one hand, and purple for the other. So, they buffed her toes and fingers and started applying the polish. The ladies topped it off with a flower on each big toe and a small flower on one of her fingers!

She is such a girlie girl! I am in major trouble!!!

Adventureland Here We Come!

So, yesterday, Scotty and I went to Adventureland for the day. Let me tell you what, it brought back some fun memories! It was nice cause it wasn't overly busy and we could get on rides pretty fast. He was feeling pretty good about all the rides (in the past 2 years he has been less than receptive to the whole roller coaster thing). We went on the Tornado 2 times (maybe it was 3) the Outlaw 4 times, and he even tried the Dragon! The day was great and it was nice getting out just the two of us.

About 5:00, we went and picked up Parker and decided to take her out to let her ride a few rides. Well, the first ride we went on (which she barely met the height requirement) was the Raging River. This was the request of big brother and she wasn't 100% she wanted to go. But we went, SHE GOT SOAKED!!!! Scotty on the other hand, hardly anything. None the less, we got off the ride and she stated she did not want to go again (as she looked kind of cold). After riding some of her rides, Scotty then got her convinced to go on the log ride. Luckily for her, she sat in front of me and didn't get wet (either time she rode it) so she seemed okay with it.

In the last twenty minutes of the park being open, I think Scotty rode (by himself I might add) the tornado 4 more times in a row and the log ride 3 more times. He is getting so big! They both had a ton of fun!

Look there is a Panda!

So, last night, thanks my job, we got to see a sneak peak of Kung Fu Panda the night before it came out at the IMAX. It was pretty good! Parker kept saying "Look Mom, a panda!" Scotty being the older more responsible child, kept telling Parker to be quiet! Noah was a hoot, because the screen was so big, his little head just kept turning every which way! About the time he got tired, there was a pretty big kung fu fight going on and the movie got loud, perfect timing though, cause if Noah can't just lay in his crib to go to sleep, he has a little fussy period, which was during the fight and by the time the movie calmed down, he was out!

The night was followed by the excitement of a tornado warning. Me and the kids headed down to the basement. Noah, of course, stayed asleep, while Parker didn't know what was going on. Scotty was kind of freaking out, but ended up being a good helper. Except when we went back upstairs, he hit is eye (which in turn he started crying), Parker was crying cause she didn't want to go back in her bed, while Noah just slept in the basement til I could get to him! You gotta love good babies!!!

The Santa Issue

So, the conversation the prompted this was my conversation with my soon to be 9 year old son, Scotty. I was doing the dishes on Monday night (yes, that would be June 2nd!) and he all of a sudden asked me if I was Santa? To my surprise, I was like "What??" as you know, I wasn't really expecting the conversation in the middle of Summer!

Well, supposedly he read it in a book, so I called Mike and we came clean on the whole Santa issue, he is getting so big! But after we got off the phone, he started to question me on other things, you got it, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, etc. Well, after an hour conversation, we ended up digging his baby teeth out and looking at those....

It was so sweet and it was nice taking a trip down memory lane!

Better Late than Never!

So as I had a milestone talk with my son the other night, I realized that I should get on board with the blogging as it could be a nice way to keep track of milestones for the kids and a way for family who live far away to see updated pictures of the kids and keep track of what they are doing. So I will try and keep this updated and see where it goes!

Enjoy!
